The Life of "Mayor" John Quinn

Updated: Jan 17

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: Annual Meeting set for January 28 at 3 PM at the Tunis-Ellicks House Museum.

On January 28, at 3PM, the Harding Township Historical Society will hold their annual meeting at the Tunis Ellicks House & Museum on Village Rd.  Our speaker, John Kelly, will reminisce about former long time Committeeman and Mayor, John Quinn, as well as the Kelly family’s early years growing up in Harding Township. Quinn settled in Harding in 1917 and served on the Township Committee from 1932 to 1958. Come see Mayor John Quinn’s briefcase & contents from his very last meeting on the Committee.

We will also have on display a wedding dress from 1936, handmade by Mary Augusta Walling of Harding Twp. for her daughter, along with other historical memorabilia from Harding’s history. Bring your memories & join us in recalling how Harding Twp. grew into the wonderful town it is today.
